Five days, five subjects, five signature techniques: a new concept in Masterclasses … all set in the historic town of Bury St. Edmunds surrounded by the beautiful Suffolk countryside.
Join Helen for an exploration of her unique style of embroidery, the full five days encompassing a Welcome Dinner, Masterclasses each day, a private viewing of Helen’s 2010 exhibition “The Enchanted Land”, a guided tour of Bury St. Edmunds ancient (and modern!) cathedral and treasury, a visit to Helen’s Studio, True Embroideries, and the nearby Yarn Gallery.

Itinerary:
Monday
7.00 p.m. Welcome Dinner – a chance to meet Helen and Pam and fellow students and receive information and welcome pack.
Tuesday
10.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m. Masterclass breaking students in gently with a half-day!
2.30 p.m. “The Enchanted Land” an illustrated lecture by Helen based on her 2010 exhibition, followed by a guided tour of St. Edmundsbury Cathedral with Pam.
Wednesday
10.30 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.
Full day of Masterclasses, breaking for one hour at lunchtime
Thursday
10.30 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.
Full day of Masterclasses, breaking for one hour at lunchtime
Friday
10.30 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.
Full day of Masterclasses, breaking for one hour at lunchtime
Saturday
10.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m. Masterclass, including Helen’s demonstration of mounting and presentation techniques.
2.30 p.m. (approx) Visit to Helen’s Studio, True Embroideries and The Yarn Gallery.
7.00 p.m. (optional) Farewell Dinner
Light lunches and the Farewell Dinner are optional (see price list) and we are happy to offer accommodation and travel advice and help with booking. Many students enjoy staying at the Regency House Hotel to take full advantage of the Masterclass facilities which are available throughout. Places (especially with residential accommodation “in house”) are strictly limited, so book early.
